Estádio do Maracanã (Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho)

The Estádio do Maracanã for local pronounce, officially Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho. The biggest and open-air stadium in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. First opened in 1950 when Brazil as host the FIFA World Cup, since then this stadium used by major football club in Rio de Janeiro including including Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense, and Vasco da Gama. Also hosted a number of concerts and other sporting events. For the official name of the stadium is Mario Filho, and Maracana name taken as close to Maracana river.

Estadio Mario Filho (Maracana) have 76804 capacity, it was upgraded to 78838. Designed by Waldir Ramos, Raphael Galvão, Miguel Feldman, Oscar Valdetaro, Pedro Paulo B. Bastos, Orlando Azevedo, Antônio Dias Carneiro. The stadium be a part of history when Brazil win World Cup 1950 in final defeat Uruguay 2-1.

In 2014 FIFA Wolrd Cup group stage, the stadium used for group F matches. Started on 15 June 2014, kick off at 19:00.
